Understanding Storage Area Networks SAN, the easy way.

I've prepared a cartoon to make it easy to understand the Storage Area Network Concept. How do they work? Why they are used?...

strange i was not looking for anything technical when i stumbled on this blog...
loved your cartoons.. it makes things simple!

Also it is not true that people do not use SAN at home, one of my neighbor is using it, at present he has around 6TB and can add more.. also he is not using it for work ...

Presently I work for Dell and I really appreciate the way you have presented the concept of storage area network (SAN) in a very interesting way. To add more to it, SAN is a dedicated network that provides access to consolidated, block level data storage.

This is awesome. Thank you for making SAN so easy to understand. By reading Wikipedia and looking at Google images, I had no clue what a SAN was. Then I found your great explanation :)
